Guy serves as Executive Chairman of AssuranceAmerica, guiding the company’s focus towards becoming a leader in the auto insurance sector. As a Co-Founder, Guy chairs the Board of Directors and works with the executive team to establish the strategic direction of the company.

Additionally, Guy champions AssuranceAmerica’s philanthropic endeavors where the company gives back 5% of pre-tax earnings to charitable organizations focused on ending homelessness.

Prior to AssuranceAmerica, Guy served as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Norrell Corporation (NYSE), a leading national provider of staffing and outsourcing solutions. He then stepped into politics running as a Republican for Governor of Georgia in 1994 and 1998, and as United States Senator from Georgia in 1996. Despite losing all three races, he is acclaimed for building Georgia into a two-party state.

Guy has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Florida State University and served eight years in the Naval Reserve.

Scott Pitrone

Scott serves as Chief Executive Officer, providing insight and leadership for the continued success and growth of the company. Scott brings with him extensive experience and a successful track record of managing large teams that has led to the strategic development and deployment of insurance products contributing significantly to the company’s trajectory. Previously, as President and Chief Operating Officer, Scott helped the company maneuver through the pandemic, making significant advances in key areas of our business despite the market turbulence. He shares responsibility with the Executive Chairman, CFO and Board of Directors in building the company portfolio, influencing new business ventures, and identifying expansion opportunities.

Prior to joining AssuranceAmerica in 2019 as Executive Vice-President, Scott was with Infinity Insurance where he spent 25 years in a variety of executive roles, most recently as Senior Vice President of Product Management. Scott started his insurance career at Progressive Insurance where he managed a regional pricing group.

Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from The Ohio State University.

Daniel J. Scruggs

Daniel serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at AssuranceAmerica with responsibilities including Finance and Accounting, as well as Claims and Compliance.

Prior to joining AssuranceAmerica in 2009, Daniel served as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Assistant Treasurer of ChoicePoint (an insurance data and analytics company acquired by LexisNexis owner Reed Elsevier).

Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Troy State University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia.

Joseph J. Skruck

Joe Skruck began his journey with AssuranceAmerica as co-founder in 2002 and has served the organization in multiple roles, most recently as Chief Executive Officer. For over two decades Joe guided the steady growth of the organization through a variety of business cycles to great success. Joe now serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and a consultant to the leadership team focused on the expansion strategy of the company for long-term growth.

Prior to AssuranceAmerica, Joe served as Senior Vice President of Sun States Insurance Group with direct responsibility for Product Management and Personal Lines Insurance and held additional Product Management roles with Great American Insurance and Anthem Casualty Companies.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Risk Management from Georgia State University. He also holds active Property and Casualty and Excess and Surplus licenses several states. He also holds designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

Ralph serves as our Chief Information Officer with responsibility for all aspects of Information Technology for the company.  Ralph’s focus is on developing a state-of-the-art Information Technology department that is delivering best in class solutions.  To that end, Ralph is leading a strategy of moving us to the cloud, developing a robust data capability, and implementing a mobile-first approach to business.

Ralph joined AssuranceAmerica in 2019 with over 30 years’ experience in the insurance field, most recently as the CIO of Infinity Insurance Company.  With a long track record of success across all facets of information technology and a strong focus on business success, Ralph brings an innovative mindset to the organization.

Ralph attended Auburn University and Herzing College.

Robin Adams

Robin serves as Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for leading overall operations of the Human Resources Department. She brings over 20 years of experience to AssuranceAmerica, including a twelve-year tenure in executive HR management roles for Infinity Insurance. Robin has experience driving HR for companies both large and small, publicly traded and privately held, offering her a depth of knowledge in supporting business functions as a true HR business partner. Robin has implemented enterprise-level programs and supported large-scale change while demonstrating expertise in all HR infrastructure and governance functions. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human resources from Troy University. She has obtained additional credentials as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and as a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Tony serves as Senior Vice President of Claims, he is responsible for claims strategy and overall operations of the claims department.

Tony joined AssuranceAmerica in 2020 bringing over 30 years of claims management experience, in both standard and non-standard lines. Prior to joining our company, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Claims Officer at Infinity Insurance, and held prior positions with Great American Insurance Company as Vice President of Claims, Northeast Operations.

Tony earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Central Connecticut State University.

Luciano Damario

Luc serves as our Senior Vice President of Sales and Customer Experience, bringing extensive experience to expand and develop multiple business channels for increased customer acquisition for the company.

With 15 years in the field, and fluent in multiple languages, Luc has led teams and succeeded in driving profitability in the Insurance, Financial Services and InsurTech/FinTech industries. Prior to joining AssuranceAmerica, Luc managed organizations ranging from 5 to 1500 people in the USA and Latin America (LATAM), including Guidewire Software, Groupo San Cristobal (Argentina) and Liberty Mutual.

Luc earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Master of Science in Economic Development from the University of Bologna, Italy and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Technologico de Buenos Aires, as well as multiple business certifications.

Ralph Gravelle

Ralph serves as our Chief Information Officer with responsibility for all aspects of Information Technology for the company.  Ralph’s focus is on developing a state-of-the-art Information Technology department that is delivering best in class solutions.  To that end, Ralph is leading a strategy of moving us to the cloud, developing a robust data capability, and implementing a mobile-first approach to business.

Prior to that, Jay served as a finance executive at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, and in actuarial roles at Prudential Financial and Voya Financial.

Jay earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from West Virginia University. He is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries (FSA), as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.

Chris serves as our Senior Vice President of Digital Sales and Strategic Projects bringing nearly a decade of successful experience with him relative to digital sales, new product development and market expansion strategy. He has been directly involved in evaluating and managing new business opportunities and will spearhead pursuit of our own product acquisition interests.

Chris came to us from the Payment Industry, where he spent nearly a decade in management contributing to the growth of the overall Payment Business in North America. Most recently, Chris led the Strategic Partner Management Team for Global Payments Integrated. There, his experience creating new products into newly integrated market segments enabled his team to succeed in managing revenue targets for a portfolio of clients representing over $75 Billion in processing volume.

Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Southern Methodist University.

Since joining AssuranceAmerica in 2017, Anne has served as an officer in the company in a variety of roles. She currently oversees all community relations, philanthropic activities, and the corporate communications of the organization. She continues to contribute to the strategic direction and management of the AssuranceAmerica brand experience, and company’s B2B marketing.

Prior to joining AssuranceAmerica, Anne took a dual approach to her career pursuing both business and the arts. She began in Account Service with world-class advertising agencies such as BBDO working with brands such as Frito Lay, and Tylenol. She launched a non-profit, Creating Pride Inc, focused on educators bringing creativity into the classroom and students creating artworks delivered to executive offices. Anne also founded, produced, and hosted a web-show and owned her own art gallery located in Atlanta.

Anne earned a Bachelor of Science in Urban Life & Communications from Georgia State University, a Master of Science in Advertising from The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from The School of Visual Arts. Since 2016, Anne has been an active member of the AssuranceAmerica Board of Directors.

Elijah Haughawout

Elijah Haughawout serves as our Vice President of Product responsible for our overall innovation, development and management of products across AssuranceAmerica. Elijah joined our company in 2021, bringing over 20 years of product management experience, across both direct and agency channels. He was most recently a Senior Product Manager with National General Insurance where he managed multiple states for both Direct and Agency channels, growing the Florida business more than 5-fold during his tenure. He started his career as a business and pricing analyst with Progressive Insurance while also serving as subject matter expert for hurricane CAT modeling.

Elijah has been an active member of the CFA Society of Atlanta since obtaining his CFA designation in 2013. Elijah earned his bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and his Master’s in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.

Valerie serves as General Manager of Renters Insurance. She is responsible for rolling out the newest product into all 13 active states, drawing on her depth of sales, marketing, and operational experience she brings to the team.

Prior to joining AssuranceAmerica, Valerie received award-winning recognition by the FranklinCovey Enterprise for her exceptional leadership in territory growth; was Vice President of Sales at Brown & Brown Commercial Insurance and an award-winning professor of Sales & Marketing while also Director of the Sales and Research Center at the University of Louisiana.

Valerie earned her doctorate in Leadership, Management, & Policy from Seton Hall University, and holds her Property & Casualty Insurance License.

Eric Martinez

Eric Martinez is Associate General Counsel; he is responsible for managing compliance and all legal affairs of AssuranceAmerica’s operating entities.

Eric joined our company in 2019, from Assurant, where he served as Senior Regulatory Counsel, specializing in insurance compliance, electronic commerce, and privacy matters.

Eric earned bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Philosophy from Hanover College and his Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University. Eric is a member of the Florida Bar and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).

Jeremy Blumenfeld

Jeremy joined the company in 2021 and serves as Vice President of Information Technology, responsible for application development and data management.
