Founded in 1998, AssuranceAmerica provides property and casualty insurance to the non-standard private automobile segment.
AssuranceAmerica, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is comprised of AssuranceAmerica Insurance Companies and Trustway Insurance Agencies. AssuranceAmerica Companies provides insurance management services and insurance wholesale services through over 1,000 highly professional independent agents. Trustway Insurance Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary and provides insurance services through retail agency operations. As a result of our assets and focus, AssuranceAmerica has a broad blend of wholesale and retail insurance operations specializing in non-standard auto insurance.

1998 - Founders personally invested $5 million to form AssuranceAmerica. No Bank loans or VC were involved.
1999 - 26 retail insurance agencies are brought into AssuranceAmerica with $18 million in premium volume.
2000 - AssuranceAmerica MGA formed to provide AssuranceAmerica products while agents continue to provide multi-carrier services.
2001 - AssuranceAmerica MGA reaches first $1 million month in premium volume.
2002 - AssuranceAmerica MGA reaches first $2 million month in premium volume while 26 retail agencies reach $34 million in premium volume.
2003 - AssuranceAmerica becomes a publicly traded company under the symbol ASAM. AssuranceAmerica formed its own insurance carrier to underwrite AssuranceAmerica MGA policies. AssuranceAmerica MGA reaches first 3 million month in premium volume. Twenty-six retail agencies reach $42 million in premium volume.
2004 - AssuranceAmerica MGA reaches first $4 million month in premium volume. Retail agencies grow to 29 while reaching $48 million in premium volume. Insurance Market acquired.
2005 - AssuranceAmerica MGA reaches first $6 million month in premium volume. Retail agencies grow to 32 while reaching $64 million in premium volume. Cannon Insurance acquired.
2006 – AssuranceAmerica Corporation selected #2 in PricewaterhouseCoopers and Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Annual Ranking of Top 100 of 'Georgia's Best in Business'.
Owned retail agency chain grows to 49 locations with almost $100 million gross written premium. The MGA/Carrier has first ever $9 million gross written premium month and achieves $80 million annual premium.
2007 – MGA/Carrier has first ever $11 million gross written premium month (February), and owned retail agencies are now in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Carrier is approved in Pennsylvania and Arizona, and MGA in California during first quarter. MGA now sells coverage to taxi cab operators. Corporation selected to best 100 public companies in Georgia for fourth year in a row.
2008 – Carrier began writing policies in Arizona and Indiana.
